(My Sportsbook) - A six-game road trip down south didn't start exactly the way that the Milwaukee Brewers had hoped this week, but the team still expects to play well against the Atlanta Braves this weekend. On Thursday the Florida Marlins posted a 4-2 win over the Brewers to sweep a three-game set. Richie Sexson had three hits for Milwaukee, which has now lost four of its last six. Starting pitcher Todd Ritchie was tabbed for the loss, allowing nine hits and four runs in five innings. Matt Kinney followed with three shutout innings in relief but by then it was already too late. The Brewers now find themselves with the fewest victories in the National League, showing a record of 7-14 in the NL Central. Ben Sheets will take the hill for Milwaukee this evening in an effort to stem the tide versus the Braves. The 24-year old righthander gave up three home runs in his last appearance, a 5-4 win over the Houston Astros on Sunday, but he didn't figure into the decision. Sheets has been roughed up in his previous outings versus Atlanta over the last few years, holding a 1-2 record with an inflated 8.83 ERA. Geoff Jenkins has been the main offensive threat for the Brewers so far this season, hitting four home runs, leading to 16 RBI and a .339 batting average. Sexson leads the team with five home runs, but has a total of only 10 RBI and has struck out 20 times through 21 games.
