(My Sportsbook) - Jake Peavy struck out nine in 6 1/3 solid innings to lead San Diego over Cincinnati, 7-3, in the series opener on Friday. Peavy (4-1) allowed just two runs and three hits in the outing. Xavier Nady belted a two-run homer and Rondell White and Shane Victorino each drove in a pair of runs for the Padres, who have won three straight following a six-game losing streak. San Diego's three-game winning streak matches its longest of the season. The team also claimed three in a row from April 3-5. Clay Condrey gets the call for the San Diego Padres on Saturday. Condrey is 1-1 on the season with a 9.95 ERA in five games -- two starts. In his most recent outing, the righthander failed to earn a decision against the Colorado Rockies last Saturday. He allowed seven runs on nine hits in just four innings, while walking four and striking out five. Condrey has never faced the Reds in his brief career.
