NEW YORK (AP) -Ray Anderson, vice president of the Atlanta Falcons for the last four years, was appointed Monday as the NFL's senior vice president of football operations. Anderson replaces Art Shell, who resigned last January to become coach of the Oakland Raiders. A former agent, the 52-year-old Anderson played football and baseball for three years at Stanford and later graduated from Harvard Law School. Before taking the job with the Falcons, he represented a number of players and coaches, including current coaches Tony Dungy of the Colts and Dennis Green of the Cardinals.
