(My Sportsbook) - The Milwaukee Brewers managed only five hits yesterday and suffered a 7-1 loss to Atlanta in the rubber match of their three-game set at Turner Field. Milwaukee starter Glendon Rusch (1-4) suffered the loss, surrendering four runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out three and walked five for the Brewers, who have lost two straight and five of their last six overall. Alex Sanchez smacked a pair of hits, including a double, and scored for Milwaukee. Although Milwaukee owns a disappointing 9-16 overall record, it is currently five games back of the Cubs for first place in the NL Central. Brewers' pitchers own a 5.29 ERA so far this season and have yielded 267 hits in 223 innings. Milwaukee is batting .255 as a team, considerably less than the .295 mark posted by its opponents. The Brewers are not in action today, but they will return to the field on Tuesday to open a three-game set against the Expos. Righty Matt Kinney is slated to get the ball tomorrow, and he is currently 2-1 with a 2.57 ERA.
