Eden Prairie, MN (My Sportsbook) - Minnesota Vikings running back Doug Chapman was hospitalized Monday with abdominal pain and internal bleeding. Chapman is expected to stay in the hospital overnight for observation. Head coach Mike Tice said he thinks the soreness came from a hit Chapman took on a kickoff return during Sunday's 20-7 loss to the New York Jets. "Doug has undergone diagnostic testing that determined the bleeding has stopped," Tice said in a statement released by the team. "He will be kept in the hospital for observation. We hope to get him back with the team as soon as possible." Chapman, in his third season out of Marshall, has 89 yards rushing on 12 carries and has returned 11 kickoffs for 225 yards. The Vikings fell to 1-5 with Sunday's loss.
