Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis will not need to have surgery on his knee after he was injured in Monday night's 28-10 victory over Indianapolis at Heinz Field. Bettis sprained a ligament in his left knee early in the second half and did not return. He is not likely to play in this Sunday's contest at Baltimore. The running back scored two touchdowns in the first half to help the Steelers open a 21-3 halftime lead. Bettis, who gained 33 yards on 11 carries against the Colts, has rushed for 326 yards with five touchdowns on 83 carries this season. Amos Zereoue took over for Bettis in the second half and gained 87 yards on 15 carries. Starting center Jeff Hartings also injured his left knee in Monday's win. The center twisted his knee, but tests revealed there were no tears and he does not need surgery.
