Jose Hernandez and Charles Johnson each added two hits and an RBI. Dan Miceli (0-2) was pegged with the loss, surrendering two runs in two frames of relief. Aaron Cook started, but pitched just three innings after giving up seven runs on 11 hits. Taking the ball for the Rockies today will be Nelson Cruz, who is 3-1 with a 4.61 ERA in five starts this season. In his last outing, Cruz was saddled with his first loss of the year, yielding seven runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings of an 11-7 setback to the Chicago Cubs on Friday. He also struck out three and walked two. Cruz is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in his career against the Reds. The Rockies are 11-3 at home this season. |
