Rey Sanchez finished 4-for-5 with two doubles, while Joe McEwing had two RBI for the Mets, who have lost five consecutive games. Starter Steve Trachsel surrendered five runs on eight hits over five innings. Tom Glavine will get the start for the Mets tonight, when they open up a three-game set against the Milwaukee Brewers. Glavine is 3-2 with a 3.60 ERA in six starts this season. In his last outing, Glavine was roughed up for six runs - four earned - and seven hits in six and one-third innings of a 6-1 setback to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. He also struck out three and walked one. Glavine is a solid 4-1 with a 3.89 ERA in six career starts against the Brewers. The Mets are just 2-7 in their last nine game against the Cardinals dating back to the 2001 season.
