(My Sportsbook) - The Boston Red Sox look to capture their fifth straight victory today when they open a three-game series with the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park. Boston is coming off a three-game sweep of Kansas City, most recently defeating the Royals 6-5 on Thursday in the series finale. Todd Walker's run- scoring double in the eighth inning lifted Boston to the win. Walker finished with three hits and two runs batted in, while Trot Nixon and Manny Ramirez each added two hits for the Red Sox. Nixon also homered. Jason Shiell (1-0) earned his first career win with a scoreless eighth and Brandon Lyon retired the side in the ninth to earn his second save for Boston. The Red Sox are in the midst of their longest winning streak since claiming seven straight from April 13-20 this season. John Burkett hopes to snap a personal two-game losing streak today when he takes the hill for Boston. The righthander is 1-2 with a 5.34 ERA this season in five starts, with his only victory coming back on April 4 in his first start of the year. In his last outing, Burkett allowed three runs on nine hits in eight innings in a loss to Anaheim Saturday, while walking one and striking out five. Burkett is 1-1 in eight career starts against the Twins with a 6.46 ERA.
