(My Sportsbook) - Baltimore looks to regain a winning pace when they face the Kansas City Royals in the second of a three-game set at Camden Yards on Saturday. Baltimore, which was defeated last night for the first time in five games will send 26-year-old Sidney Ponson to the mound. Ponson was victorious in his last start, allowing three runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays last Sunday. The victory was Ponson's first since defeating the Devil Rays on April 10th. Ponson is 5-4 in his career against the Royals in his career, posting a 3.84 ERA in 10 outings. Jeff Conine posted two hits and Brook Fordyce added a homer for the Orioles, who squandered a 2-0 lead, in their 5-2 loss on Friday. Helling (1-3), the Baltimore starter, was taken out after 5 2/3 innings. He absorbed the loss, giving up four runs on seven hits. The Orioles hold a 15-10 series lead dating back to the 2000 season. Last night's victory against the Orioles was the first for the Royals since the 2001 season.
