(My Sportsbook) - The Chicago White Sox will look to halt their struggles today when they tangle with the Seattle Mariners in the finale of a three-game set at U.S. Cellular Field. Righthander Bartolo Colon will take the mound for the White Sox. This will be the seventh start for Colon this season. In his last outing on Tuesday, Colon recorded the loss, throwing eight innings while allowing three runs on six hits against the Oakland Athletics at U.S. Cellular Field. The 29-year-old Dominican has lost two straight since beating his former team -- the Cleveland Indians on April 18th. In that contest, Colon allowed three runs on nine hits in his first complete game of the season. Colon has posted a losing record of 3-5 against the Mariners in 11 career starts with an ERA of 4.69. Last night, solo home runs by Joe Crede and Armando Rios accounted for the only two Chicago runs in the contest. Josh Stewart (1-2) got roughed up for eight runs in 3 2/3 innings for the White Sox, who have now lost four of their last five games and nine out of 13. White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko had his hitting streak snapped at 11 games. He also did not reach base for the first time in 20 games. Chicago took five of the nine meetings between the two teams last season, but is just 14-18 against Seattle since the start of 2000.
