(My Sportsbook) - Boston will face the Minnesota Twins in the rubber match of a three-game series at Fenway Park on Sunday. Boston has won five out of its last six games and will send 36-year-old Tim Wakefield to the mound today at Fenway. Wakefield was victorious in his last outing, throwing six innings while allowing two runs on seven hits against the Kansas City Royals at Fenway on Tuesday. The righthanded knuckleballer has been excellent against the Minnesota Twins in his career, posting a 9-2 record with an ERA of 3.99 in 13 starts. Last night, Martinez pitched a five-hitter to lead the Red Sox to a 9-1 win over the Twins. Martinez (3-1) struck out 12 and did not walk a batter to record his first complete game since August 16, 2002 -- also against Minnesota. It was his 39th complete game and the 89th time he struck out 10 or more batters in a game during his impressive career. David Ortiz went 2-for-3 with three runs batted in and Trot Nixon knocked in two runs for Boston. Todd Walker, Kevin Millar and Nomar Garciaparra all had a pair of hits for the Red Sox, who smacked 13 hits. Since getting shelled for 10 runs against Baltimore on April 12, Martinez has yielded only three runs in 30 innings in his past four outings. Martinez now has 62 games with 10 or more strikeouts in a Boston uniform, leaving him six behind Roger Clemens' 68 for the club's all-time lead. This is a close-knitted series, with the Red Sox owning a 10-9 series lead over the Twins dating back to the 2000 season.
