Arlington, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Texas Rangers signed right-handed pitcher Jamey Wright to a minor league contract on Monday. He is expected to join the club's Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma later this week. The 28-year-old had been signed by the Brewers as a minor league free agent on March 26 and made seven appearances with Triple-A Indianapolis where he compiled a 1-3 record with a 7.36 ERA. However, the Brewers organization released him last week. Wright spent eight seasons in the majors, where he has had stints with Colorado, Milwaukee and St. Louis. For his career, he is 50-67 with an ERA of 5.17. The team also announced on Monday that third baseman Herbert Perry is set to begin another rehab assignment.
