Flushing, NY (My Sportsbook) - New York Mets first baseman Mo Vaughn, who is on the 15-day disabled, underwent X-rays and an MRI on Tuesday at the Hospital for Joint Diseases. The tests revealed that Vaughn is suffering from arthritis of the left knee. Vaughn, the 1995 American League MVP with the Red Sox, is hitting .190 with three home runs and 15 RBI in 27 games this season. He was placed on the DL on Saturday.
