Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - The Philadelphia Eagles signed defensive tackle Mike Patterson to a seven-year contract extension through the 2016 season on Thursday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This season Patterson, who was chosen with the 31st overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, has 36 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and two fumble recoveries, including a 98-yard yard return for a touchdown against San Francisco. In his rookie campaign Patterson led the Eagles' defensive line with 66 tackles and led all rookie defensive tackles with 3 1/2 sacks.
