Chicago, IL (My Sportsbook) - Mike Scioscia of the Anaheim Angels, Charlie Manuel of the Cleveland Indians, Frank Robinson of the Montreal Expos and Jim Tracy of the Los Angeles Dodgers were appointed coaches for the July 9th All-Star Game in Milwaukee. The moves were announced Thursday by American League manager Joe Torre of the New York Yankees and National League manager Bob Brenly of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Scioscia and Manuel will be making their first appearances as All-Star coaches. Scioscia made the NL All-Star team twice for the Dodgers as a player, starting the game in 1990. Robinson, in his first season as Montreal's manager, has kept the Expos in contention in the NL East. He was a 14-time All-Star as a player, and has also twice served as a coach for the AL All-Star team, in 1976 and 1990. Tracy, who was named Dodgers' manager prior to the 2001 campaign, will be making his first All-Star appearance.
