PITTSBURGH (AP) -Tatum Bell, who had rushed for 100 yards in each of the Denver Broncos' three road games this season, was deactivated for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh. Broncos fullback Kyle Johnson was also inactive for the game. Bell was listed as probable late in the week despite having two sprained big toes. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Mike Bell, who ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries in a 34-31 loss to Indianapolis last week. Johnson (sprained ankle) was replaced by Cecil Sapp. Also deactivated by the Broncos was wide receiver Quincy Morgan, cut by the Steelers earlier this year. Held out by the Steelers was guard Chris Kemoeatu, who had started the previous two games for Kendall Simmons. Simmons did not play last week in a 20-13 loss to Oakland despite being healthy, but returned to the lineup against Denver. Center Jeff Hartings (knee) also was held out and was replaced by Chukky Okobi in his first start since 2002.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
