(My Sportsbook) - The Phillies will try to continue their home domination of the Houston Astros as these teams finish up a three-game set at Veterans Stadium today. Philadelphia has beaten the Astros five straight times at the Vet, but haven't had an overall winning season versus the Astros since 1997 (7-4). These clubs will meet for one more series, May 16-18 at Minute Maid Park. Vicente Padilla heads to the mound for the Phillies today, as they try for their second straight three-game sweep of Houston at the Vet after taking a series last year from May 7-9. The 25-year-old righthander has dropped his last three starts and is coming off one of the worst outings of his young career. On Monday against Arizona, he surrendered a first-inning grand slam to Matt Williams and things didn't get much better for Padilla as he lasted a season-low 4 1/3 innings and allowed six hits and seven runs and tied a career-high with five walks. Padilla is 0-2 in six career games against the Astros. Last night, Randy Wolf tossed a five-hit shutout to lead the Phillies to a 2-0 win. Wolf (5-2) struck out six and walked just one batter for the ninth complete game of his career. Wolf also recorded his fifth career shutout and has won consecutive starts. Bobby Abreu and Mike Lieberthal both had RBI singles in the first inning for the Phillies, who have won three in a row.
