(My Sportsbook) - The Arizona Diamondbacks play the rubber match of their three-game set at PNC Park today against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Arizona won 5-0 Friday night behind Curt Schilling's four-hit shutout, but the Pirates held off the D'Backs last night, 5-4. Quinton McCracken drove in two runs for Arizona, while teammates Danny Bautista and Luis Gonzalez each had three hits. Elmer Dessens (3-3) suffered the loss after surrendering four runs on five hits in six innings. Pitching today for the Diamondbacks will be Miguel Batista, who continues to throw on appeal of a 10-game suspension handed to him for his part in a brawl April 20 in St. Louis. His hearing will take place Monday in Philadelphia. The 32-year-old righthander takes the hill for his sixth start of the season and 12th outing overall. He is coming off his best performance of the season, going the distance on Monday on a seven-hitter against the Phillies in a 10-1 win. He recorded five strikeouts and did not issue a walk in that game. Batista is 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA over his last two starts, yielding only two runs -- one earned -- in 16 innings. He is 2-0 in his five starts with a 1.41 ERA this year, allowing five earned runs in 32 innings in that role. Batista is 1-4 lifetime versus Pittsburgh with a 5.67 ERA over eight games, four of which have been starts. Arizona is 27-12 all-time against Pittsburgh and has never had a losing season versus the Pirates. Arizona first baseman Lyle Overbay is mired in a 4-for-31 slump over his last 11 contests.
