(My Sportsbook) - After winning six straight contests, the San Francisco Giants are now in danger of losing their series against the Atlanta Braves. Jason Schmidt will take his unbeaten record to the mound for the Giants this afternoon, as they try to rebound from a 6-3 loss at Turner Field last night in the middle contest of this three-game set. Andres Galarraga hit his third homer of the season for the NL West-leading Giants, while Rich Aurilia put up a 2-for-5 effort with an RBI in the loss. The Giants have posted a 34-11 (one tie) mark in Schmidt's 46 regular season starts since he came to San Francisco on July 30, 2001. That includes a 6-0 mark this season. The 30-year-old righty didn't get a decision in his last outing, a 4-2 San Francisco triumph in the road trip opener Tuesday at Florida. Schmidt has registered two victories on the road this year, while boasting a 1.71 ERA (4 ER, 21 IP) in three starts. He has limited opponents to a .155 average (11-for-71) in those three road efforts. Schmidt is 3-5 in 10 career starts against the Braves. Giants second baseman Ray Durham sprained his right ankle in last night's game and has been put on the disabled list.
