Lisbon, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - Portugal will not bring in anymore seasoned veterans for its UEFA EURO 2008 qualifying chances, as head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari called up four uncapped Under-21 players for the team's qualifier against Kazakhstan on November 15. Daniel Fernandes, Tonel, Nelson and Raul Meireles headline this list of youngsters. All four had a hand in helping Portugal qualify for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, in a tourney that saw the Portuguese beat Germany 1-0 in its final game. The senior squad is in desperate need of three points in qualifying play with only four points in its first three Group A matches, standing six behind first -place Serbia. In September, Portugal settled for a 1-1 draw with Finland then shut out Azerbaijan, 3-0, on October 7, before falling to Poland, 2-1, four days later. The 20-man squad going into the mid-November fixture against Kazakhstan is as follows: Goalkeepers ----------- Ricardo Quim Daniel Fernandes Defenders --------- Tonel Jorge Andrade Luis Miguel Manuel Da Costa Nelson Paulo Ferreira Ricardo Carvalho Midfielders ----------- Deco Carlos Martins Joao Moutinho Raul Meireles Tiago Forwards -------- Cristiano Ronaldo Helder Postiga Nuno Gomes Ricardo Quaresma Simao
