Boston, MA (My Sportsbook) - The Cleveland Indians placed rookie first baseman Travis Hafner on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a broken left big toe. The club recalled first baseman Ben Broussard from Triple-A Buffalo. Hafner suffered the injury in Friday's 9-5 win over the Rangers. He broke his toe when Texas hurler John Thomson hit him with a pitch. The 25-year-old Hafner has played in 30 games this year and is hitting just .206 with four homers and 11 RBI. In another roster move, Cleveland placed pitcher Dave Elder on the 15-day disabled list with rotator cuff tendinitis and purchased the contract of pitcher Jerrod Riggan from Buffalo.
