Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - Atlanta Falcons defensive end Patrick Kerney will undergo season-ending surgery for a pectoral injury suffered in last Sunday's game against Cleveland, the team announced on Monday.

Kerney suffered the injury in the second quarter of the Falcons' 17-13 home loss when he tackled Browns tight end Steve Heiden.

In nine games this season, the 1999 first-round draft pick has recorded a team-high five sacks and two forced fumbles.
