Boston, MA (My Sportsbook) - The Boston Red Sox activated pitcher Robert Person from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday. Person was signed to a minor league contract in the offseason, but was placed on the DL in spring training with elbow and shoulder injuries. Person won 15 games for the Phillies just two seasons ago, but was bothered by shoulder and elbow injures last year and finished 4-5 with a 5.44 ERA in 16 starts. The 33-year-old Person is 51-42 with a 4.60 ERA in eight seasons with the New York Mets, Toronto and Philadelphia. The team optioned righthander Steve Woodard to Triple-A Pawtucket to allow room for Person.
