(My Sportsbook) - The Baltimore Orioles attempt to halt a three-game losing streak on Wednesday when they battle the Chicago White Sox in the second of a three-game series at U.S. Cellular Field. In the series opener on Tuesday, Baltimore was stymied by Esteban Loaiza, who hurled seven strong innings for his seventh victory of the season, as the White Sox blanked the Orioles, 1-0. Omar Daal (2-5) suffered the loss. He yielded just one run on seven hits, walked four and fanned six. David Segui went 3-for-4 for Baltimore, which has dropped seven of its last nine games. Baltimore hopes to snap its skid by sending Rick Helling to the mound Wednesday. Helling is 2-3 on the year with a 5.53 ERA in seven starts. In his last outing, the righthander earned the win against Kansas City on Friday, surrendering three runs on eight hits in seven frames. He walked three and struck out two. Helling has made 11 career appearances -- 10 starts -- against the White Sox, posting a 3-4 record and a 6.36 ERA. Baltimore is 5-8 in the month of May and 18-20 overall, eight games behind the AL East leading Yankees.
