New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Texas Rangers catcher Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in a game on September 16, 2002 against Seattle. Rodriguez was suspended for excessive arguing and for directing inappropriate comments and an obscene gesture toward umpire Mark Carlson after striking out in the second inning. The 10-time Gold Glove catcher is hitting .312 with 18 homers and 57 RBI in 106 games for Texas this season. Unless appealed, Rodriguez will sit out Saturday's game against Oakland. The 30-year-old Rodriguez is in his 12th season in the majors, all with Texas.
