(My Sportsbook) - The Seattle Mariners were outdueled on Wednesday, as they fell, 7-2, in the middle match of a three-game series at Jacobs Field. Edgar Martinez homered for the Mariners, who had won two straight and three of their last four coming in. Seattle lost for the first time in five tries against Cleveland this season. Starter Freddy Garcia (3-5) struggled early in the contest and gave up six runs in the first three innings. He finished allowing eight hits and seven runs -- only four earned -- in six innings of work. The Mariners made a season-high three errors in the contest, while second baseman Bret Boone was given the night off to rest. Seattle is now 0-10 this season when scoring three runs or less, while Garcia dropped his second decision in as many starts. Righthander Ryan Franklin gets the call for the Mariners today, as he tries to record his fourth victory of the season. In his most recent outing, Franklin pitched 7 1/3 innings and allowed three earned runs while striking out two batters in a victory against the White Sox. Franklin (3-2) will be making his first career start against the Indians today. He has however faced them in relief, allowing one earned run and striking out three in two innings of work.
