Tempe, AZ (My Sportsbook) - The Arizona Cardinals officially placed Bertrand Berry on injured reserve on Thursday, ending the defensive end's season. An MRI taken on Monday revealed that Berry has two torn muscles in his right triceps. He is expected to have surgery at some point over the next couple weeks. Antonio Smith will replace Berry in the starting lineup, as he did last season when Berry suffered a pectoral injury. Berry, who was signed by the Cardinals as a free agent in 2004, finished the season with six sacks, 20 tackles, three forced fumbles and three pass deflections. Fullback John Bronson was promoted from the practice squad to take Berry's spot on the active roster.
