(My Sportsbook) - The Colorado Rockies attempt to get back on the winning track today, as they play the Montreal Expos in the third installment of a four-game series at Coors Field. Last night the Rockies dropped the second game of the set by a 4-1 margin. Todd Helton drove in the only run of the game for the Rockies, who had their win streak halted at three games. With the game tied entering the top of the ninth, Montreal scored three times off Colorado reliever Nelson Cruz. Jamey Carroll got the inning started with a one-out single before Michael Barrett launched his fourth homer of the year over the center field wall to give the Expos a 3-1 lead. The Expos were not finished in the ninth as pinch-hitter Ron Calloway singled, stole second base and went to third on a base hit by Endy Chavez. After Chavez stole second to put runners on second and third with one out, Orlando Cabrera delivered a base hit to right that drove in Calloway to make it a 4-1 contest. Chavez also tried to score on the play, but was thrown out at the plate by Larry Walker. Cruz (3-4) took the loss, surrendering three runs on six hits and a walk over his two innings of work. Taking the mound today for Colorado will be 23-year-old righthander Jason Young, who will be making the second start of his young career. Young, the Rockies' second- round pick in 2000, allowed five runs on eight hits over five innings in a 9-6 loss to the New York Mets on Monday. However, four of those runs came in his final inning.
