ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -The Washington Redskins signed Shaun Suisham from the practice squad Saturday, giving the team an alternative to struggling kicker Nick Novak for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Redskins coach Joe Gibbs was unavailable for comment, so it was unclear how he planned to use his two kickers. A likely scenario would have Suisham handling kickoffs and Novak kicking extra points and field goals. Novak has made only 5 of 10 field goal attempts this season, and his kickoffs have been short. Suisham was primarily a kickoff specialist earlier this season with Dallas. He was signed to the Redskins practice squad on Tuesday. To make room for Suisham on the active roster, the Redskins waived defensive tackle Ryan Boschetti.Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
