(My Sportsbook) - The Pittsburgh Pirates try to complete their first three- game sweep over the Arizona Diamondbacks this afternoon at Bank One Ballpark as their weekend series draws to a close. Kevin Young belted a three-run homer to help Pittsburgh down the Diamondbacks, 8-5, in the second game of the set on Saturday. Brian Giles drove in a pair of runs for the Pirates, who picked up just their fourth win in 15 games. Salomon Torres (3-1) picked up the win after yielding five runs in five innings of work. He walked two, struck out four and allowed eight hits. Mike Williams walked three batters in the ninth, but managed to post his 12th save. Jeff Suppan gets the call this afternoon for the Pirates and will be trying to improve upon his 4-3, 2.72 ERA mark to start the season. The 28-year-old righthander won his first four starts of the year, but has struggled of late, posting a 0-3 record with a 4.12 ERA in his last four starts. On Tuesday Suppan allowed three runs on nine hits over seven innings to the Houston Astros, but did not factor in the decision of his team's 6-3 loss. This will be his first-ever start against the Pirates. Kenny Lofton extended his hitting streak to 17 games on Saturday, tying his personal best stretch with Cleveland in 1994. Lofton's current streak is the longest for a Pirate since Al Martin hit safely in 20 games during the 1999 season...
