New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Quarterback Aaron Brooks of the New Orleans Saints, safety Adrian Wilson of the Arizona Cardinals and kicker Jay Feely of the Atlanta Falcons were named NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the seventh week of the 2002 season. All three are first-time recipients of the honor.

Brooks sparked a 35-27 comeback win over the San Francisco 49ers. He completed 23 of 35 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Saints to points on seven of their nine possessions. He also added 26 yards rushing and one touchdown.

Wilson recorded a career-high three interceptions, eight tackles and one sack to spark the Cardinals' 9-6 overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys. His third pick, in his own end zone in the fourth quarter, stopped the potential game- winning drive by Cowboys.

Feely kicked field goals of 41, 45 and 49 yards respectively, and registered three touchbacks on kickoffs in the Falcons' 30-0 win over the Carolina Panthers. Feely leads the NFC with 10 touchbacks on kickoffs.

Other nominees for the Offensive Player of the Week were running back Marshall Faulk of St. Louis, running back Ahman Green of Green Bay, Seattle wide receiver Koren Robinson, Philadelphia running back Dunce Staley, Detroit running back James Stewart, Atlanta quarterback Michael Vick, and wide receiver Joe Horn and running back Deuce McAllister, both of New Orleans.

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay linebacker Derrick Brooks, Philadelphia linebacker Carlos Emmons, Green Bay defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, Atlanta defensive end Patrick Kerney and Green Bay linebacker Nate Wayne were also considered for NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Nominees for Special Teams Player of the Week were kicker David Akers, punter Sean Landeta and return specialist Brian Mitchell from Philadelphia, Detroit kicker Jason Hanson, Detroit punter John Jett, New Orleans kickoff returner Michael Lewis and Seattle kickoff returner Maurice Morris.
