New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Quarterback Aaron Brooks of the
New Orleans Saints, safety Adrian Wilson of the
Arizona Cardinals and kicker Jay Feely of the
Atlanta Falcons were named NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the seventh week of the 2002 season. All three are first-time recipients of the honor.
Brooks sparked a 35-27 comeback win over the San Francisco 49ers. He completed 23 of 35 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Saints to points on seven of their nine possessions. He also added 26 yards rushing and one touchdown.
Wilson recorded a career-high three interceptions, eight tackles and one sack to spark the Cardinals' 9-6 overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys. His third pick, in his own end zone in the fourth quarter, stopped the potential game- winning drive by Cowboys.
