San Diego, CA (My Sportsbook) - The San Diego Padres are expected to activate pitcher Adam Eaton off the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday and on Sunday optioned lefthander Mike Bynum to Triple-A Portland to open a roster spot. Eaton, a 25-year old righthander, was 1-3 with a 3.73 ERA in seven starts prior to straining his right groin. He was placed on the disabled list retroactive to May 5 with 41 strikeouts and 14 walks, and the team intends to start him Tuesday versus Milwaukee. Bynum was 0-2 with two starts in seven appearances for San Diego, sporting a gaudy 8.84 ERA. He allowed 10 homers in just 19 1/3 innings pitched, including three in only two innings of work against Atlanta on Saturday.
