Amsterdam, Holland (My Sportsbook) - Dutch Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven won their 10th consecutive league match with a 2-0 victory over seventh-placed Groningen Saturday. PSV also extended its streak of not giving up a goal to 739 minutes. Goals by Ibrahim Afellay and Arouna Kone were the difference in the game. Afellay's goal was set up by Jan Kromkamp 62 minutes into the game while Kone's goal was scored with just two remaining to seal the victory. In other Eredivisie action Saturday, NAC, Sparta and NEC were victorious over Excelsior, Heracles and Utrecht, respectively. On Sunday, second placed Alkmaar travels to third-placed Ajax Amsterdam in the highlight game of the day. The other games Sunday are Feyenoord hosting last- placed Den Haag, fourth placed Twente looking to gain ground against third from the bottom Willem and bottom feeders Vitesse and Waalwijk squaring off. |
