=== Cleveland Indians Team Report - May 22 === (My Sportsbook) - The Cleveland Indians can complete a four-game sweep of the Detroit Tigers at Jacobs Field tonight. On Wednesday, C.C. Sabathia tossed six shutout innings to lead Cleveland to a 4-0 win in the third game of the set. Shane Spencer finished with two hits and two RBI while Matt Lawton chipped in with two hits for the Indians, who have won the first three games of the series and five of their last six overall. Sabathia (3-2) permitted just three hits and struck out five while walking two for Cleveland. Jason Bere will make his season debut tonight for the Indians after missing the start of the year with a strained rotator cuff. The 31-year-old righthander, who was signed as a free agent in December, was just 1-10 last year with the Chicago Cubs. This is Bere's second stint with the Indians. He split the 2000 season in Milwaukee and Cleveland, going 6-3 with a 6.63 ERA in 11 starts for the Tribe. In 11 career starts against the Tigers, Bere is 5-2 with a 4.31 ERA. Cleveland's Milton Bradley has reached base safely in 31 consecutive games, the longest streak in the majors. The Indians are 15-7 at home against the Tigers since the start of the 2001 campaign. Detroit is just 17-49 all- time at Jacobs Field. Despite its success in this series, Cleveland remains nine games back of Minnesota in the AL Central.
