=== Toronto Blue Jays Team Report - May 22 === (My Sportsbook) - The Toronto Blue Jays, who are 6 1/2 games back of New York in the AL East, open a four-game set tonight at Yankee Stadium. Toronto comes into Thursday's contest riding a two-game losing streak after falling 6-5 to the Chicago White Sox in the rubber match of their three-game set in the Windy City. Shannon Stewart and Vernon Wells each had three hits for the Blue Jays, whose current slide comes on the heels of four consecutive wins. Reed Johnson posted two hits. Toronto's 12-6 mark in May is second in the league only to Minnesota's 15-5 record. Going for Toronto tonight will be red-hot 26-year-old righthander Roy Halladay, who has won his last four starts after going 0-2 through his first six appearances. Halladay, who is pitching to a 4.54 on the year, allowed three runs - two earned - on five hits over seven innings in his last outing, a 7-4 win over Kansas City Royals on Saturday. Both of Halladay's losses this season have come against the Yankees, who have pounded out 13 runs - eight earned - on 17 hits over 12 1/3 innings against him. Halladay, who leads the league with 13 homers allowed, is 3-3 with a 4.02 ERA in his career against New York in 14 appearances - 12 starts. New York has beaten the Blue Jays in six of their seven matchups this season. Furthermore, Toronto has also lost nine of the last 13 meetings in the Bronx. The Blue Jays have scored more runs (281) than any team in baseball this season.
