=== San Francisco Giants Team Report - May 22 === (My Sportsbook) - The San Francisco Giants defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks in the finale of a three-game set by a score of 6-0. The Giants are idle today and will resume play Friday when they head to Colorado to face the Rockies in a four-game set at Coors Field. Jason Schmidt tossed a four-hit shutout in his 200th career major league appearance last night. The Giants captured two of out of the three-game series at Bank One Ballpark. Schmidt (4-1), who pitched the 10th complete game of his career, struck out eight batters and did not issue a walk. He also recorded his second shutout of the season, as he went the distance in a 5-0 win over the Cubs on April 30. The Giants improved to 8-1 when Schmidt takes the hill this season. Marquis Grissom homered twice and drove in three runs for San Francisco, which has won two straight. Barry Bonds, who finished 1-for-4 with three RBI, left in the seventh inning with a mild sprain of his right ankle. He suffered the injury while running to first base and limped to the dugout. Bonds will be evaluated on Thursday and is listed as day-to-day. Damian Moss will toe the rubber Friday for the Giants at Coors Field.
