Allen Park, MI (My Sportsbook) - The Detroit Lions placed running back Kevin Jones on the injured reserve list Tuesday with a left foot injury. Jones suffered the setback in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Jones played in 12 games this season and was enjoying his best campaign with 1,209 total yards of offense including a career-high 520 yards receiving on 61 receptions. The former Virgina Tech product finished the season with 689 rushing yards with a career-high eight touchdowns. During his four-year career, Jones has appeared in 40 games and has compiled 2,486 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns. Detroit also announced the signing of offensive lineman Stephen Peterman and running back Anthony Sherrell from the practice squad. Defensive tackle Keith Wright was also released from the practice squad. |
