=== Montreal Expos Team Report - May 22 ===
(My Sportsbook) - The Montreal Expos attempt to complete a sweep of the Florida Marlins tonight as the squads battle in the finale of a three-game series at Olympic Stadium.
The Expos, who are owned by the 29 other teams in the majors, have been surging and are incredibly only two games behind the Atlanta Braves for first place in the National League East. Montreal won last night, 7-2, for its seventh victory in its last nine games.
The Expos, who swept Florida September 17-19, 2002 at Pro Player Stadium, will be trying for their first ever home sweep of the Marlins.
Livan Hernandez will try to continue Montreal's success tonight, as he takes the mound for his ninth start of the year. The 28-year-old righthander is 0-1 over his last two efforts. Tonight he faces the club that signed him in January, 1996, as he played the first 3 1/2 seasons of his career with the Marlins.
Hernandez didn't get a decision in his most recent start, last Friday at Colorado, when he surrendered five hits and one run over 7 1/3 innings. He is 3-1 in six career games against the Marlins.
The Expos have allowed four or fewer runs in 10 straight games.
Montreal is 7-2-1 in its last 10 series dating to Cincinnati's visit to Puerto Rico, April 18-20.
The Expos can record their sixth series sweep of the season tonight. A victory this evening would also give the Expos their third sweep of a division rival this season.
Montreal manager Frank Robinson enters tonight's game with 792 career wins.
