Ottawa, Ontario (My Sportsbook) - New Jersey Devils center Joe Nieuwendyk says he expects to play in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals against Ottawa on Friday despite an apparent knee injury. Nieuwendyk was hurt during overtime of New Jersey's 2-1 loss to the Senators in Game 6 on Wednesday when he took a hit in the corner and had to be helped from the bench to the locker room. "I'm ready to go," said Nieuwendyk on Thursday. "I feel much better today. It's amazing what a day's rest can do." Nieuwendyk scored the only goal for the Devils in Game 6 and has two goals and two assists in the series. He has three goals and nine points in 16 games this playoff season. The Devils have lost the last two games of the series after owning a 3-1 lead.
