Foxboro, MA (My Sportsbook) - The New England Patriots made a series of roster moves on Wednesday, signing tight end O.J. Santiago to a contract while also placing running back Patrick Pass on injured reserve. In addition, the Patriots re-signed guard/center Gene Mruczkowski and signed tight end Rod Trafford to the practice squad. Terms of Mruczkowski's agreement were not released. The 32-year-old Santiago has appeared in 78 career games (60 starts) for Atlanta, Dallas, Cleveland and most recently Oakland in 2003. The 265-pound tight end has 81 career catches for 1,041 yards and nine touchdowns. Santiago was in Denver's training camp in 2004 but was released. He signed with Oakland in 2006, but landed on injured reserve in September and was later released. Pass, meanwhile, was placed on IR because of a hamstring injury. The 28-year- old has played in 78 career games and has made 11 starts. In his career, he has compiled 1,096 yards from scrimmage -- 526 yards rushing and 570 yards through the air on 66 receptions -- and has four career touchdowns. He had played in New England's last three games after starting the season on the physically unable to perform list.
