=== Anaheim Angels Team Report - May 23 === (My Sportsbook) - The Anaheim Angels hope to halt a two-game skid and return to .500 on the season Friday when they begin a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays at Edison Field. The Angels fell to the Orioles, 7-4, in heart-breaking fashion on Thursday in the rubber match of their three-game series. Brian Roberts belted a grand slam off Troy Percival in the ninth inning to lift Baltimore to the victory. Percival (0-2) spoiled a stellar outing by Ramon Ortiz, who gave up two runs -- one earned -- on six hits in 6 1/3 innings. The righthander walked one and struck out four. Adam Kennedy drove in two runs for the Angels, who had won seven straight against Baltimore before dropping Wednesday's game 7-6. Anaheim lost for the first time in 21 games this season when leading after eight innings. Anaheim's Brendan Donnelly gave up an earned run for the first time this season. He had pitched 24 1/3 innings before being allowing an earned run in the eighth. The Angels try to snap their slide Friday by sending Jarrod Washburn to the hill. Washburn has won three of his last four starts to improve to 4-4 on the year. Washburn has dominated the D-Rays during his career, posting a 5-0 mark with a 3.40 ERA in seven starts. After this weekend's matchup with the Devil Rays at Edison Field, the Angels will head out on a 12-game road trip. Anaheim is hitting .280 as a team this season and allowing its opponents to bat .268.
