Baltimore, MD (My Sportsbook) - The Baltimore Orioles Friday placed outfielder Larry Bigbie on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain. The move is retroactive to May 22. Bigbie injured the shoulder while diving for a ball during Wednesday's game at Anaheim. He will undergo an MRI and further evaluation. In 22 games this season, Bigbie is batting .239 with one homer and five RBI. Meanwhile, the club recalled outfielder Luis Matos from Triple-A Ottawa. Matos has hit .212 in 120 contests over parts of the last three seasons with the Orioles. |
