ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -Washington Redskins right tackle Jon Jansen, who has a torn calf muscle and broken thumb, will miss Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. Jansen did not practice this week. He was downgraded from questionable to doubtful on the injury report Friday, and on Saturday the Redskins said he would not play against the Saints. He will be replaced by Todd Wade, a seven-year veteran with 85 career starts. Wade will be making his first start of the season. Jansen has been playing with the calf injury for several weeks, and he broke his right thumb in last week's game against Philadelphia. Jansen broke both thumbs early last season, but he had casts fitted for both hands and did not miss a game. Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
