The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Orioles. In the game, Brian Roberts and Luis Matos each posted two hits and scored a run for the Orioles, who have lost nine of their last 12. Melvin Mora added two hits. Pat Hentgen (1-1) absorbed the loss, allowing four runs in six innings of work. The Orioles will send Venezuela native Omar Daal to the hill Saturday. In his last outing, Daal threw seven innings against the Devil Rays at Camden Yards and allowed four runs on nine hits. Daal did not record the decision in the contest. Daal will make an attempt at his first victory since the first of May when he defeated the Tigers at Comerica Park. In the contest, the 31-year-old lefthander allowed three runs on eight hits in seven innings. Daal has pitched nine innings against the Rangers in his career, posting an ERA of 5.00. |
