=== Los Angeles Dodgers Team Report - May 24 === (My Sportsbook) - The red-hot Los Angeles Dodgers look to extend their winning streak to nine games on Saturday when they take on the Milwaukee Brewers in the second of a three-game series at Miller Park. The Dodgers have captured their last eight games to pull within 1 1/2 games of first-place San Francisco in the NL West. LA is in the midst of its longest winning streak since claiming nine straight victories from June 26-July 4, 2001. In the opener of the set Friday, Shawn Green was 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI to lead Los Angeles to a 6-4 win over Milwaukee. Cesar Izturis, Paul Lo Duca and Brian Jordan all collected two hits for the Dodgers. Odalis Perez (4-2) got the win after he allowed four runs on nine hits over six innings. Perez, who struck out two and walked a pair, won his third straight start. The Dodgers faced the Brewers exactly one year to the day after Green went 6- for-6, belted four homers and set a major league record of 19 total bases in a 16-3 Dodgers' win. Both games were also started by Glendon Rusch for Milwaukee. Taking the hill for the Dodgers Saturday is Hideo Nomo, who has won four of his past five decisions. Overall, the righthander is 5-4 with a 3.04 ERA in 10 starts. Nomo earned the victory against Florida in his last outing Sunday, surrendering only one run on five hits in seven innings, while walking four and striking out five. Nomo has had success against the Brewers in his career, going 4-1 with a 2.09 ERA in six starts.
