San Francisco Giants Team Report - May 24 ===
(My Sportsbook) - Barry Bonds is expected to be out of the lineup Saturday and possibly longer, as the San Francisco Giants face off with the Colorado Rockies in the second of a four-game set at Coors Field.
The 38-year-old Bonds, who also exited Wednesday's game against Arizona in the seventh because of a right ankle injury, hurt his right leg in the fourth inning of Friday's series opener after crashing into the left-field fence.
Bonds stayed in the game, but aggravated the injury in the next half inning running out a single to right and left the contest.
The preliminary diagnosis is a hyperflexed patellar tendon in his right knee. Bonds was scheduled for an MRI in Denver on Saturday morning.
As for the game, Todd Helton went 4-for-5 with a home run and four RBI to power the Rockies to a 10-7 victory over the Giants.
Benito Santiago went 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI for the Giants, who had a win streak halted at two games.
Damian Moss (5-3) took the loss for San Francisco, surrendering eight runs on seven hits in just 3 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out one.
The Giants give the ball to Kurt Ainsworth on Saturday. After winning his first three starts, the righthander has dropped his last four decisions, including his past two starts.
In his most recent outing, Ainsworth was handed the loss against the Mets Sunday. He surrendered three runs -- two earned -- on four hits in five frames of work, walking three and striking out five.
Ainsworth will face the Rockies for the first time in his young career.
