Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - St. Louis Cardinals' starting second baseman Fernando Vina left Sunday's 8-7 loss at Pittsburgh after the fifth inning with a strained right hamstring. He is listed as day-to-day. Vina, who is batting .262 with four homers and 19 RBI this season, was attempting to beat out a grounder and grabbed his right hamstring just a few feet shy of first base before being called out. After walking off the field with some help, the 34-year-old Vina was replaced by Miguel Cairo. Vina was 2-for-3 with a run scored in the Cardinals' loss.
