Starter Jae Weong Seo also deserved better than a no decision in his first career appearance against the Braves. In his attempt to win his first game since April 17, Seo went seven strong innings, allowing just one run on three hits, striking out two and walking none. Roberto Alomar cracked two hits and Jeromy Burnitz went 2-for-3 with a solo home run for New York, which has lost two straight after winning five of six. Al Leiter will take the mound for the Mets on Tuesdays, when they open a three-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies. Leiter is 4-2 with a 4.62 ERA in 10 starts this season. In his last outing on Wednesday, Leiter gave up three runs and five hits in six innings of a 5-4 victory over the Phillies. He struck out five and walked six in receiving a no decision. Leiter is 7-5 with a 4.31 ERA in 19 career starts against the Phillies. Cliff Floyd went 0-for-4 on Sunday and is now batting just .238 this season.
