=== Chicago White Sox Team Report - May 26 === (My Sportsbook) - Joe Crede's three-run homer in the bottom of the 12th inning lifted Chicago to an 8-5 win over Detroit in the finale of a three-game series at U.S. Cellular Field yesterday. Carlos Lee belted a grand slam for the White Sox, who avoided a series sweep and won for only the third time in nine games. Magglio Ordonez and Joe Borchard both finished with two hits in the three-run victory. Gary Glover (1-0) pitched a scoreless 12th inning to earn the win for Chicago, which rallied from a 3-0 deficit and blew a 5-3 lead, before scoring three unearned runs in the bottom of the 12th. Dan Wright started the game for Chicago and permitted three runs and six hits in seven innings of work. He also struck out seven and walked one. Billy Koch struck out two in two shutout relief innings for the White Sox, who have won six of the nine meetings this season. Mark Buehrle gets the call for the White Sox against Toronto today, as he tries to improve on his 2-7 record this season. He came away with a no- decision the last time he took to the mound, going six innings and allowing five earned runs, while striking out four. The young lefthander has not won a game since April 10 and prior to his recent no-decision, had lost six consecutive games. Buehrle is making just his third career start against the Blue Jays today and will try to record his first victory against them. He has no record and an ERA of 4.42 in his previous outings against Toronto.
